Returning to "Trouble in the Workshop, Christmas 2020"

The Autumn of 2020 I started thinking about my annual Christmas card. I always try to have a personal artwork or cartoon ready for friends and family by the day after Thanksgiving. This project grew. It started with this cartoon. I imagined Santa pleading with his shop foreman to wear his mask.

I liked the cartoon so much I decided to illustrate a "children's book." I had never done this, but at 66 I decided why not? I finished the book as a PowerPoint slide show. Just click on the link, open the download, and scroll through the pdf. If you like it, share it, with friends, family, and read it to your grands.

Today is Christmas Eve 2021. We have been vaccinated. We have been boosted. We are still urged to wear masks. We are still urged to avoid large gatherings. I tried to write a second book about a second covid Christmas. I was not happy with the outcome, but there is one picture I offer. How would Santa prepare for a second Covid Christmas? Perhaps this one drawing sums it up.!

With this done, I can only say "I wish you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

Love, David A Morton
