An artist's portrait should tell a story. I recently did a self portrait with this rule in mind. I wanted to tell my story. This time I wanted to tell about the two personal traits that are very individual to David Morton. Much of my life I have spent in books, learning. Much of my life I have spent with a paintbrush and a canvas. As an individual, these two facets of my life describe me well. Thus I painted a self portrait to tell that story.
I would love to tell your story. To do that I would like to visit with you about how you want to be remembered by your loved ones, friends, and colleagues. You could share your scrap book of memories, or take me to a favorite place, a place I might just paint if it strikes my passion. Together we would try to create an image that tells your story. I invite you to visit my website; David Mortons Journal (damortonart.com). That will lead you to a virtual gallery of my art work, and also connect you to my blog. If you would like to contact me about commissioning work, either portraits or landscapes, e-mail me at d.a.morton.art@outlook.com. I look forward to learning your story!
