What did you do in the lock down, Daddy?
All around the world people have been isolated from each other as we fight to keep our neighbors and our selves healthy during the pandemic of 2020. This means being creative with how we pass our time.
I had wanted to spend this spring doing plein-air oil painting, but the limitations of the crisis have stopped this plan.
This led me to grab an old used canvas (linen 18 X 24), and oil paints that I had on hand. I had done a small study of this scene (a snap shot of Crested Butte from Kebler Pass on the West side of the Continental Divide.) which was auctioned off for the Epilepsy foundation a couple of years ago. I had always wanted to do a large canvas of the scene. I added a pond that was not actually there, and a couple of sight seers as witnesses in the background.
This is "what I did during the war."
What about you?
I look forward to hearing you reply!
Stay Safe!
David.
