Catching up!

It has been a very busy year (or more?) since I created this website and Blog. I have often used it to introduce, friends and new acquaintances to my art work. Life has weighted me down, and although I have continued to Draw, and Paint but I have failed to upload new images in some time. Here are some I am proud of.

On Thanksgiving 2016 my family traveled to Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park CO. I snapped several pictures of the simple pleasure of site seeing. From a series of these taken around the Alluvial Fan, I painted this "taking it all in."

Autumn in Colorado always tugs my wife and I to the high Country. I produced two works from a drive over Kebler Pass into Crested Butte CO. The first was sold as part of a charitable auction for the Epilepsy foundation. I called it High Country Autumn.

The second piece from this trip was inspired when we stopped at a roadside rest area. Another traveler has posted some wire fence and released from the trailer his beautiful horse who trotted too and from longing to escape and enjoy the view. I call it simply "longing."

One of the great privileges of my life has been introducing my bride of forty years, to Colorado. Julie and I spend a lovely summer afternoon on Monarch Lake outside Grand Lake Colorado. I did a Water color on site, but later reproduced to the best of my ability this Painting, simply calling it Rocky Mountain Blue.

Julie One Final piece that is personal. Drawing inspiration from several Christmas Morning 2017 snaps I did a vignette of Grandma Julie and Nova sharing a hug. Just called "The Hug," I extend it to you on this day of giving thanks.
